It’s a tradition as old as the Johnny Carson show: Most nights, since 1966, bands big and small play on the national stage of late night television. This week, April 1-5, that tradition continues with a couple of indie heavyweights returning after a few years off, as well as a few tried-and-true standbys. We’ve even included a few clips of last week’s standouts, just in case you missed ‘em.
On the eve of the release of their sophomore album Pioneer, The Band Perry will take the stage at Ed Sullivan Theater in New York for a special Live On Letterman performance.
Cliches be damned, it was a fun. night at the GRAMMY Nominations Concert on CBS, with the band performing and getting nominations in all four major categories: Album, Song and Record of the Year, and Best New Artist. Kelly Clarkson, The Black Keys and Frank Ocean all grabbed multiple nominations as well.
The Who and Hunter Hays are also scheduled to perform during the live television special airing on CBS, December 5 at 10PM.
The dates begin in early January and run throughout the U.S., with The Band Perry signed on as support.
