Tegan and Sara
On this week’s Glee, there’s a whole lot of feuding going on. Will isn’t too happy with Finn, who revealed last week that he’d kissed Emma. But to help the guys get past this rough patch the members of New Directions have decided to give out their first assignment, which ends in an epic boy band battle.
It might be hard to believe but Tegan and Sara have been making music for close to 20 years. The sisters began their musical evolution in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1995.
FRESH 102.7’s Up Close & Personal concert and Q&A session with Tegan and Sara – this Tuesday, February 19th at NYC’s City Winery – along with FRESH 102.7’s Christine Richie!
fun. just added more to their very busy schedule. The six-time GRAMMY nominated New York-based band will kick off their North American headline tour on July 6 in Toronto. Titled the Most Nights Tour, fun. are bringing Katy Perry’s favorite band Tegan and Sara along for the ride, which runs through September.
Tegan & Sara were once heralded for their folky indie-rock sound. But as of late, the twin sisters have become an even bigger mainstream success, riding their self-made wave of 80’s inspired pop-rock-infused love songs. With their latest album Heartthrob taking on even happier synth sounds, unbridled love and sexual overtones, could they be the Vince Clarke and Andy Bell (Erasure) of 2013?
After weeks of mounting anticipation, the line-up for Coachella 2013 has been revealed.
Earlier this week we got a listen to a previously unreleased track from GRAMMY nominated fun. featured on the soundtrack for the hit HBO drama Girls. Now you can listen to Tegan & Sara’s contribution to the soundtrack “Fool To Cry.”
Though we have to wait another week until Girls returns, you can pick up a copy of the soundtrack tomorrow. Featuring new music from fun., Grouplove and Santigold it’s enough to hold you over until the new season begins January 13.
