Somebody That I Used To Know
In a stacked category that included fun. and Frank Ocean, it was Gotye who took home one of the GRAMMYs’ biggest awards, Record of the Year, for “Somebody That I Used To Know.” Earlier in the evening, he won awards for Best Alternative Album for Making Mirrors and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Kimbra.
It was hard to go anywhere in 2012 without hearing Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.” It comes as no surprise the track has been nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 55th GRAMMY Awards.
“I think that’s the beautiful mystery of music. You don’t necessarily know why something is so successful.”
Not to be outdone by humans, a gaggle of outdated computer parts have banded together to perform their own unique version of the soon-to-be classic.
