Paying tribute to Luke Bryan, who lost a family member this weekend, Lady Antebellum and Chris Stapleton sang his hit “Drink a Beer” at the CMT Artist of the Year ceremony in Nashville last night.
T-Pain did not visit Nashville to write country songs.
“Luke put the final nail in the idea. I walked onstage with him and I realized the magic of performing. Country has it down pat,” Richie said.
“It’s just a real energetic atmosphere in the room. Seeing all the signs and the lights. It was neat seeing how my crowd and her crowd are different. I gotta get me some neon signs and get the fans rocking out there,” Luke Bryan said.

Kelly Clarkson, The Black Keys and Frank Ocean all grabbed multiple nominations as well.
