Radio Feedback: Gavin DeGraw Explains the Relationship Between ‘Follow Through’ and ‘The Breakfast Club’
In a conversation with Radio.com, DeGraw explains the first time he heard one of his songs on on the radio…and what that experience has to do with “The Breakfast Club.”
As you ready for a feast this Thanksgiving, some of music’s most notable stars will be gearing up for some big performances. Put the turkey in the oven and take a spot on the couch for these performances and specials.
“I don’t want to be someone’s dog walker and I don’t want to bartend and I don’t want be a waiter and I don’t want to be bellhop or work at a newsstand anymore, or any of those jobs that I was doing,” he said.
DeGraw’s debut was three decades after Joel’s, but that dilute the man’s impact: “I feel like I’m seeing things through his eyes when he sings his songs.”
“So much of songwriting is really just capturing a moment, and a picture is worth 1,000 words. I try to really visualize each moment and then sketch in the details.”
Gavin Degraw wowed passengers at 35,000 feet in the air on a recent flight from Pheonix, AZ to Los Angeles, CA – by serenading them mid-flight!
Musician, street meat enthusiast, and possible feature on a future “Cops” episode, Gavin DeGraw, stopped by Fresh 102.7 in NYC to chat with Jim & Kim about his new single, upcoming tour and few of his favorite things here in the Big Apple.
The song, “Best I Ever Had,” off DeGraw’s upcoming fourth album, is a foot stompin’ folk ode to a very special someone.
The wait is almost over to hear new music from Gavin DeGraw.
Fans will get three concerts for the price of one when Gavin DeGraw hits the road with Train and The Script.
