The first time Emeli Sandé heard herself on the radio she was in a taxi on her way back from a London studio. It was 4 o’clock in the morning and the city appeared to be asleep. Sandé, on the other hand, was wide-awake.
Emeli Sande sat down with Radio.com to talk about covering Beyoncé, collaborating with Kendrick Lamar and why Miguel winning a GRAMMY is so important to her.
“It was nerve-wracking but I was so excited to be there and to be able to play such an incredible song in front of the person who created it,” she said.
