Music is a big part of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, with the 1922 novel showcasing the jazz-filled flapper parties Jay Gatsby throws at his house in the West Egg. The author coined the term the “Jazz Age” to talk about the renaissance of music and dance that was being ushered in during the ‘20s.
Beyoncé and André 3000 go “Back to Black” on their Amy Winehouse cover for the upcoming Great Gatsby soundtrack, but Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, wants them to go back to the drawing board.
Their first collaboration was a funky “Party” off 4, but Beyoncé and André 3000 are teaming up now for a cover.
Andre 3000 will be getting into character to to play Jimi Hendrix in an upcoming biopic All Is By My Side, which will begin shooting in Ireland later this month.
