St. Vincent Dressed as a Toilet For Benefit Show in NYC

A benefit concert was held at New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge last night (6/28) for drummer Matt Johnson’s son, Jasper, who suffered a seizure earlier this year and has left him with anoxic brain injury. Johnson – who had previously written and recorded with Jeff Buckley – was joined by former collaborators for the show, including St. Vincent and Rufus Wainwright, as well as special guest Father John Misty, and others.

The show went as well as anyone could hope a benefit concert could go, with one added moment of delight.

St. Vincent performed dressed as a toilet.

We don’t know if this was some sort of statement on the music industry, the status of our country as a whole, or a movement to promote the positive impact putting the seat down can have on society, but it certainly was something.

that's @st_vincent dressed as a toilet singing a song about @caradelevingne, to Cara.

Here’s her setlist from last night – St. Vincent’s first show of 2016 – which included a new song called “New York.”
