Before we get into the production credits, we have to note Drake dedicated the project to Meagan Flores, the Miami cancer patient he and Rihanna recently visited in the hospital. The Toronto native wrote, “This body of work is dedicated to Megan Flores. I pray for your well being every day.”
Drake collaborated with producers he’s worked with closely in the past. Noah “40” Shebib is behind the bulk of the beats on Views. However, Boi-1da is credited as to having produced two songs, “Hype” and “Controlla.” He also is credited for assisting production on “9”, “Pop Style,” “Views,” and “Faithful.” Metro Boomin’ is credited with programming the drums on the “Child’s Play” record.
You’ll also find Mary J. Blige and Puff Daddy named as writers of the song “Weston Road Flows.” The late great Pimp C makes an appearance on “Faithful” so his wife, Chinara Butler, landed a writing credit. Although their verses were cut from the album version of “Pop Style,” Kanye West and Jay Z are still listed as having contributed their writing talents. Kanye was also credited for contributing to “U With Me?”
Chicago R&B singer Jeremih is given credit for his background vocals on “With You” while dancehall legend Beenie Man puts in work on “Controlla.”
