by Jay Tilles
Incubus’ Mike Einziger has released “Til Everyone Can See,” a track co-written by fiancée Ann-Marie Simpson released to raise awareness for the Red Card To End Child Labor campaign. The all-star track features Pharrell, Travis Barker, composers Hans Zimmer and Dom Lewis, pop singer LIZ and Minh Dang, who is a former child sex slave.
“It’s really challenging to write material that will be uplifting and at the same time trying to make people aware of a really critical and dire situation, and also make it accessible,” said Einziger who performed lead vocal duties for the very first time.
The project came to Einziger’s attention through Bonnie Abaunza who manages composer Hans Zimmer’s philanthropic endeavors. “Bonnie, who works with Hans, does a lot of work with an organization called the ILO (International Labour Organization), which is affiliated with the U.N. They started this initiate called the Red Card Campaign in an attempt to raise awareness and help put an end to the cruelest forms of child labor and slavery, globally.”
