Watch Steve Perry Explain His Return To The Stage After 20 Years
By Shannon Carlin
“Where have you been all this time?” It’s the question Steve Perry attempted to answer when he joined The Eels for a second time on Saturday night (May 31) at a show at Washington D.C.’s Lincoln Theatre.
Last weekend, Perry joined the Eels onstage in St. Paul, Minnesota after nearly 20 years to perform the band’s song “It’s A Motherf—er” from the 2000 album, Daisies of the Galaxy.
In a clip from the show (via Ultimate Classic Rock), Perry said he felt a personal connection to the song, explaining, “It is a song about profound loss. I recently lost someone who is the love of my life and I revisited that song. It meant even more to me.”
