Hear Ed Sheeran’s New Song ‘Don’t’ In a Beats By Dre Commercial
By Shannon Carlin
If Ed Sheeran’s new song “Don’t” tells us anything, it’s that you don’t want to cheat on this feisty redhead.
In a new commercial for Beats By Dre, Sheeran reenacts the making of the Rick Rubin and Benny Blanco co-produced track off his upcoming album, X (out June 23) and gives fans a taste of the rather angry ode to a girl who broke his heart.
Sheeran locks himself away in a hotel room that will soon become a makeshift studio. With a little help from Dre’s Beats Solo 2 headphones, which are “designed for sound, tuned for emotion,” Sheeran eviscerates a girl who played him for a fool, singing, “I never intended to be next/But you didn’t need to take him to bed, that’s all.”
