A Little Girl Becomes Katy Perry For A Day, Thanks to Make-A-Wish
By Shannon Carlin
A little girl named Addy, who was diagnosed with stage IV cancer, had a wish to be a pop star in her own music video. And thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, her dream came true.
But five-year-old didn’t turn into any old pop star. No, no, no. She became Katy Perry for the day, bright purple wig and all.
According to Make-A-Wish, when Addy wasn’t too tired from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she practiced singing and dancing, specifically Perry’s “Roar,” the lyrics of which helped her stand-up to cancer.
So of course, it made sense that Addy would get a chance to show the world her roar with her own version of the video. But instead of traveling to the jungle like Perry did for her video, Addy goes back to school to perform at the talent show.
