Jack White has consistently found new and interesting ways to release vinyl records, including the liquid-filled “Sixteen Saltines” 12-inch and 1000 flexi-disc copies of the song “Freedom at 21″ sent out to the world attached to helium balloons.

For Record Store Day 2014 (April 19), White has revealed plans to issue the “world’s fastest released record” ever, moving from studio to store in record time.

According to White’s Third Man Records website, the guitarist will perform a live version of “Lazaretto,” the title track of his upcoming solo album on the morning of April 19 at a special fan show inside the Third Man store in Nashville. From there, the original acetate will be rushed to nearby United Record Pressing, where vinyl 45s will be made, utilizing images taken from the recording session for cover art. The finished singles will then be whisked back to the Third Man Records store for waiting fans to snap up in what’s sure to be an instant sell-out.

Third Man is making a full day of it, calling in band Whirlwind Heat to perform as well as a slew of local vendors who will provide food and drinks. Only the most devoted fans will even get a crack at “Ultra Tickets” to get in, available only to Platinum members of the Third Man Record Vault.

While only those select few will be able to attend the show, Third Man promises that there will be enough copies of the single available to any fans who make their way to the store on Record Store Day. Thankfully, there will be a one copy per customer limit.

Considering the shy-high prices the balloon-launched “Freedom at 21″ flexi-disc commanded on the resale market, it should be interesting to see the resale prices on his latest Record Store Day creation.
