Coldplay’s Chris Martin Joins ‘The Voice’
By Shannon Carlin
Don’t worry Voice contestants, Chris Martin is going to try and fix you.
The Coldplay frontman is officially joining The Voice as the resident advisor to all four of the coaches’ teams.
Martin’s role, which was announced via Snapchat, is new to the show, thanks to a change in how the second phase of the Battles Round is conducted.
Now instead of performing different songs during Battles: Round Two, the contestants will perform the same song. The neutral Martin will advise each team’s performers, helping them with their vocal techniques, stage presence and tailoring songs to fit their personal style and strengths.
