Watch Beyoncé Make It Clear, She’s Not Bossy, She’s The Boss
By Shannon Carlin
Beyoncé knows girls can run the world, but could use a little help in the confidence department. So now she’s practicing what she preaches in a new female empowerment campaign that is encouraging girls to drop the word “bossy” from their vocabulary. Wonder how Kelis feels about this?
In the spot for “Ban Bossy,” which features actress Jennifer Garner, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, designer Diane von Fürstenberg, actress Jane Lynch and Facebook COO and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg, Bey declares, “I’m not bossy, I’m THE boss.”
The hope is that by ditching the word completely, it will lose its stigma and young girls all over the world will be able to rise to their full potential and become the leaders of tomorrow.
