Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’ Video Deemed Blasphemous

By Annie Reuter

Katy Perry has a knack for insulting others. Her latest drama, (no not her breakup with John Mayer) involves her “Dark Horse” music video which many claim is a “portrayal of blasphemy.”

A new petition on Change.org to remove Perry’s video “Dark Horse” has garnered over 63,000 signatures and explains in detail just why her latest video is blasphemous.

“At 01:15 into the video Dark Horse; a man is shown being burned, whilst wearing a pendant (also burned) forming the word ‘Allah’, which is the arabic word for God,” the petition states. “Such goes to show, that blasphemy is clearly conveyed in the video, since Katy Perry (who appears to be representing an opposition of God) engulfs the believer and the word God in flames.”
