Style Files: Gwen Stefani Launches New Clothing Line, ‘Design With Purpose’
By Scott T. Sterling
No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani has been a fashion icon since she rocked warm-up pants and a bindi in the band’s video for 1995 breakout single, “Just a Girl.” In the years since, she’s translated her style into a lucrative fashion career, ranging from her popular L.A.M.B. line and her high-profile L’Oreal endorsement.
Now the “Hollaback Girl” singer has teamed up with renowned “denim expert” Michael Glasser to launch a new clothing line called DWP, i.e. “Design With Purpose,” due in stores this spring.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 18-piece collection revolves around a “slouchy trouser” design made from the eco-friendly biodegradable fabric known as Tencel, which is derived from wood pulp cellulose and spun into a silky textile fiber.
