After two varying performances on last week’s (Oct. 12) episode of Saturday Night LiveKaty Perry has released a stream of Prism, which you can listen to in its entirety four days ahead of the official October 22th release date.

“I didn’t want to do Teenage Dream 2.0,” Perry recently told Billboard about the new album, and how it compares to her last full-length, which was released in 2010. “Teenage Dream was highly conceptual, super-pop art. PRISM is more organic, au naturale, vulnerable and honest, but still has the same amount of fun.”

Prism has some pretty big shoes to fill following the stratospheric success of Teenage Dream, which boasted five No. 1 singles (matching Michael Jackson’s Bad for most No. 1 hits on one album) and earning Perry a slew of high-profile GRAMMY nominations, including Album of the Year.

When Prism does arrive on October 22, the first 300,000 copies of the CD will come in limited edition iridescent packaging and will include a special seed paper that be planted so fans can “spread the light,” whatever that means.
