Death Cab For Cutie Returns To The Studio For Eighth Album
Death Cab for Cutie took to social media yesterday (October 10) to let fans know that they’re hard at work recording their eighth album.
According to Rolling Stone, the band is holed up in a Seattle recording studio, with DCFC guitarist Chris Walla once again playing the role of producer. Along with producing records for Death Cab, he’s also produced two albums for Tegan and Sara, 2007’s The Con and 2009’s Sainthood, and others.
Photos posted by the band on Instagram, with the hashtag #inthestudio, give fans a look at the setup inside the studio, from multicolored pedals to “paintbrushes,” otherwise known as guitars. According to one dispatch, the band is going to be in the studio “for a bit.”
As of right now, there is no official release date for the band’s follow-up to 2011’s Codes and Keys.
