Broken Bells Announce New Album, ‘After the Disco’

Broken Bells announced today (October 8) that their new album is called After The Disco, but from the sounds of a new teaser, the record seems like it was inspired directly by the disco era.

The un-named song featured in the 1-minute clip features The Shins’ James Mercer showing off his falsetto like he’s the fourth member of the Bee Gees over Brian Burton’s (better known as Danger Mouse) spacey blips and bleeps.

The video is set in a desert, that most likely isn’t on Earth, and gives very little away about the duo’s upcoming release. Except the fact that their new album will drop in January, no exact date given.
