One Direction Announce Global 1D Day On November 23

No band can just name a day of the year after themselves. No band except One Direction, that is. In support of their album Midnight Memories, due out November 25, the UK boy band have proclaimed to all the land that November 23 shall henceforth be known as 1D Day. Lo, it is written.
Fans from all over the world can spend seven hours with the band as their day will be broadcast live from Los Angeles. In addition to gaining streaming access to the royal One Direction, throughout the day celebrity guests will join, sketches with the band will be provided, and fan-generated videos from different countries will be shown. 1D took to YouTube to inform fans of the big news.
Today, (October 2) the 1D Day campaign launches with competitions and fan events to involve fans for the November 23 broadcast. Fans can follow along to One Direction on the band’s Twitter and their new Website for updates.
