Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’ Documentary Hits Theaters
A new documentary chronicling the journey of Green Day’s American Idiot and how it went from the recording studio to the Broadway stage is hitting theaters this fall.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the doc, Broadway Idiot, looks at the challenges of adapting the band’s 2004 album into the 2010 Broadway production. The pop-punk opera tells the story of three lifelong friends–St. Jimmy, Tunny and Will aka Jesus of Suburbia–forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia and features Green Day hits like “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “21 Guns,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Holiday.”
