Sara Bareilles Joins Taylor Swift On Stage for “Brave”
Taylor Swift is no stranger to a cover song, and she’s also never been one to turn down a great duet. Especially when it’s a song she absolutely loves.
Taylor is set to break records out in Los Angeles this weekend after she completes FOUR SOLD OUT SHOWS at the Staples Center which will. Come this weekend, Taylor will be the solo artist whose performed the most sold out shows at the center with a total of 11!
When Taylor brought her Red tour to Metlife Stadium last month her special guest was Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy and she banged out a GREAT version of “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘em Up)”
Sitting in the audience I was a little nervous for Taylor thinking “how is this going to work? They have completely different styles!” But when she started singing with Stump it became apparent: Swift can hold her own with pretty much anyone out there.
She did it again this past Monday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles; TayTay brought her current musical obsession Sara Bareilles on stage to join her in singing Sara’s latest single, “Brave.” Watch the two ladies kill it below!
It must have been pretty epic for Sara to have the chance to sing in front of thousands of Taylor Swift fans. Sara Tweeted after the show some kind words and thanks to Taylor for a pep talk:
Taylor was absolutely thrilled to have Sara on stage with her. Here’s the Tweet she sent out after the show:
Aww… these two are adorable!
What did you think of their performance of “Brave”? Do you like what Taylor Swift added to it, or are you a purist and think it was just PERFECT the way Sara recorded it? Let us know in the comments below!
