Robin Thicke Turns Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’ Into Sexy, Slow Jam
It seems that Robin Thicke can’t do anything wrong.
His song “Blurred Lines,” off his upcoming album of the same name (dropping July 30), has been heating up the charts since it debuted. Even a little controversy surrounding the single’s NSFW video couldn’t keep it down.
So maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that Thicke recently tackled another possible song of summer contender in Icona Pop’s “I Love It” for the BBC.
Instead of trying to rival the girl group’s cheeky ways though, he turns the lights down low and makes “I Love It” a sexy, slow jam. With Thicke taking the lead, the pop song is almost unrecognizable. Which, this time around, isn’t a bad thing.
