‘American Idol’ Judges: Mariah Carey And Nicki Minaj Confirm Their Exits

After weeks of rumors, both Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj confirmed on Thursday (May 30) that they will be leaving the American Idol judge’s table.

Mariah let the world know by retweeting her PR firm, PMK•BMC. The firm lead with the success of her current single with Miguel, “Beautiful.”

Her foil on the show, Nicki Minaj, followed suit just over two hours later but choosing the tweet her departure news herself.

Longtime judge Randy Jackson’s departure from the show was announced earlier in May. The status of judge Keith Urban is still undetermined, with no announcements from Urban, his camp or the show as of yet. Jennifer Hudson is widely rumored to be joining the panel for next season.
