Even if the Oscar show is a little long and not so entertaining as a whole, it’s so much fun to see Hollywood bring all they’ve got into one room. Seth McFarlane was interesting to watch as a first time host, but what was even more interesting were the fashion trends by Hollywood’s leading ladies and leading men.
LOADS of Metallic in dress choices for the ladies and LOADS of facial hair for the men… take a look! Sometimes scruff can be oh so sexy but a lot of Hollywood’s gorgeous leading men chose the caveman route.
Is this a new trend? Sort of like the Ombre look for women? Was it a secret alliance between Hollywood’s leading men? A superstitious thing? Or a trend we just have to sit back and wait to pass? The scruffy bearded look was out in force at this year’s Academy Awards with a clean shaven look as the exception.
Scruffy Keith Urban and his metallic bride Nicole Kidman in Balenciaga:
Scruffy George Clooney and his Metallic Date: the lovely Stacy Keibler in a metallic creation by Naeem Khan:
The gorgeous metallic Armani Prive gown that Best Actress Nominee Naomi Watts wore and her scruffy but handsome Hubby Live Schreiber:
Metallic Bond Girl: Halle Berry wearing Versace:
Scruffy but always gorgeous Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborah:
Gorgeous Best Actress Nominee Jessica Chastain chose a metallic Armani Prive gown that matched her hair!!! How’d they do that??
Sandra Bullock in Metallic Ellie Saab… as always looking like perfection:
Renee Zellwegger in a metallic creation from her go-to favorite designer Carolina Herrera:
…and check out the rear view!
Jennifer Hudson’s metallic dress cannot outshine her gorgeous voice and gaining a standing O for her performance of “And I’m telling you…”
Ben Affleck: Maybe he thought the beard from Argo was a good luck charm until Award night? One can only guess but he still rocks it!
