With six consecutive top 10 hits including 3 number one singles, global superstar Ke$ha stopped by the studio to sit down with Jim of the “Jim & Kim” morning show to discuss the many glitter particles of Ke$ha.
The singer’s new album “Warrior” that is set to be released on November 30, captures all aspects of her personality. While making the album, Ke$ha’s primary concern was for her fans to get to know her better as a person and not just as a performer.
“Warrior – I have been working on for about the past year so I’m really excited. I worked with a lot of my idols on this record and really just poured my heart and soul into it,” said Ke$ha.
The first single off the album, “Die Young,” is a catchy dance tune that this party girl claims as her life’s anthem.
“Die Young is my philosophy. It’s the way I live. I live like I’m gona die young. I haven’t slept at this point – Its been 3 days. But I’m very much into seizing the day and living life to the fullest and celebrating everyday,” said Ke$ha.
Every track on the album is a snippet into her glitter glam world. She gives a glimpse into her many unexplainable encounters with ghosts, her past life as a golden retriever and many other Ke$ha moments.
“I wrote about the magic of life in every capacity. Like “Supernatural” is about a ghost and “Past Life” is about a past life progression I went through and “Die Young” is my philosophy in life. But I think the underlying theme of the record is magic,” she said.
Ke$ha also recently went on tour with Rihanna on her first arena tour.
But when she’s not performing or rubbing elbows with icons Cyndi Lauper and Iggy Pop, Ke$ha likes to explore the open trails of South Africa alone before diving back into the studio.
“I wanted to go camping and get into the dirt. I was living out of a backpack without security, without management, without people up my a** and it was really nice. I felt that was necessary before I go into the studio and try and recreate my whole identity musically,” she said.
After the release of “Warrior” and her European appearances, maybe Ke$ha will catch some R & R down under in Australia.
