“We the cause of all the commotion,” Kanye West raps off the top of his remix of Rihanna’s lead Unapologeticsingle, “Diamonds.” And his words seem to be reflecting Rihanna’s real life as she’s gears up for the album’s release today, Tuesday, November 20.
Tune in tonight for a live report from Rihanna’s final 777 Tour date in New York City! Tweet your reactions to @Radiodotcom using hashtag #777Tour!
Rihanna’s release day is also the last day of her 777 Tour — 7 concerts that take place over 7 days in 7 countries. She’s been traveling with some of her biggest fans and and journalists aboard a private plane since November 14th. Reports indicate it has been quite a bumpy ride.
After stops in Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin and London, Rihanna’s promotional tour will end tonight at Webster Hall in New York City. Journalists flying with the star have grown increasingly unhappy in their printed accounts and Tweets, going so far as to declare a mutiny on the plane in Berlin. They reportedly chanted for the singer to come out, as they had barely seen or had contact with her for the duration of the promotional tour.
One week, one plane, 150 journalists. This is about when people stop being polite, and start getting real. Real World: Rihanna #777tour

BEDLAM on the @rihanna plane and press corp YELLS “save our jobs” and “just one quote.” And screams “B ROLL” to sabotage the doc footage.

So yeah, the #777tour plane staged a revolution against Rihanna on flight between Berlin and London

I’d say after tonight’s #777tourMutiny, the chances of Rihanna giving us a press conference are slim to none.
— Marcus Mulick (@marcusmulick) November 19, 2012
Mulick’s prediction proved to be untrue, as he himself Tweeted that Rihanna did join the journalists for a rare appearance in their part of the plane on the flight back to NYC from London.
.@rihanna just gave a quickie press conference on the plane a few minutes before landing. #777tour twitpic.com/bewq2s

Will Rihanna’s NYC show make the ordeal worthwhile? Certainly for the fans who were excited to be there. The journalists, however, are another story.
