Three Reasons to Love the World’s Most Fascinating Cat: Henri Le Chat Noir
Henri Le Chat Noir seems bored by almost everything, but he’s just suffering from a little ennui as the French would call it.
This little existentialist kitty caught our attention with his highbrow thinking and his love of film noir. But we keep coming back to hear his deep thoughts on the world around him.
Like, “My filtered water tastes impure.”
Or our personal favorite, “My thumbs are not opposable, but I oppose everything.”
Really gets you thinking right?
Here are three reasons why you might want to start checking out this French-speaking kitty.
He’s not afraid to give his opinion
Henri is a thinker and he’s got a lot he needs to get off his furry chest. With his latest video he gets political, asking the question of why cats aren’t better represented in government. He just wants a few city council seats, is that too much to ask?
Christopher Walken Loves Him
Yes, the actor has been outspoken about his love for Henri. Even forcing anyone who interviewed him at the Toronto Film Festival to sit down and watch this video with him.
But he’s not the only celeb that is singing Henri’s praises. Actress Kirsten Dunst is also a fan.
He gets us thinking in under 140 characters
Over nine thousand people can’t be wrong right? This little cat tweets his feelings 24 hours a day, seven days and week.

French. English. What does it matter? The only true language is the language of despair. At least the verb conjugation is easy.—

His thoughts may be prolific, but he really makes us want to buy him a little catnip. Hopefully that will cheer him up.
