Team USA swimmer Ryan Lochte has it all: a gold medal, the admiration of women all over the world and his very own “Call Me Maybe” parody.
The NOC, a sports entertainment channel, took on Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit to declare their support for Lochte, singing, “It’s hard to swim right by Phelps baby/But this is my year, so call me Lochte.”
Lochte is already an eight-time Olympic medalist, beating Phelps for his first London gold in the 400-meter individual medley on Saturday. The swimmer has a lengthy career as a champion athlete, but fans flock to the toned, 6 foot, 2 inch native New Yorker for his quirky personality. His trademark accessory is a blinged out grill that he wears to the podium when accepting medals – he even had a custom red, white and blue one made for the Olympics, which viewers caught a glimpse of after his Saturday win.
Lochte Nation fans have been Tweeting accolades @ryanlochte all weekend, with tags #lochtinator and #lochtenation gaining momentum on the site since the start of the games.
Perez Hilton is among fans to show support via Twitter, with tags #lochtinator and #lochtenation gaining momentum on the site since the start of the Olympic games last week.

Ryan Lochte’s blingy “signature grille” that he pops in and out makes me find him a little less hot and a little more absurd. -H #Olympics

He is also getting props from fellow Olympians, including Phelps, who congratulated him on his first win, despite losing the title himself.
