Josh Groban was honored for his work in arts education, but CBS Local thinks he deserves an award for his tweeting.
The Americans for the Arts foundation just announced Groban was one of the winners of its 2012 National Arts Awards, which are given out to artists who “exhibit exemplary national leadership and whose work demonstrates extraordinary artistic achievement.”
The singer expressed his excitement over the honor, tweeting:
No award could mean more to me than this. I'm deeply honored and look forward to continuing the fight for #artsed on.wsj.com/NtIuMl

The singer, who recently wrapped the movie, Coffee Town, an R-rated workplace comedy, and is featured on Plácido Domingo’s upcoming album due in October, definitely deserves to be honored for his work in arts education. But CBS Local thinks he also deserves an award for his tweeting abilities.
Whether he’s letting us know what kind of girl he’s looking for:
People sometimes ask what I want in a woman. For starters, someone who can laugh. Alone. With a salad. bit.ly/fwlQ3a

He’s able to show off his humor and an enviable skill of writing entertaining 140-character messages,
We salute you, Josh Groban. For all that you tweet.
