Currently in the studio back home working on a follow up to Up All Night the One Direction boys just released the first clip of a new video blog series. Titled Access 1D Part1: USA, fans can go backstage with the boys to see what really goes on during their time on the road.
In between a glimpse into their backstage pranks which include skate boarding after one another down the halls and toilet paper and Nerf gun fights, One Direction also share their eccentric dance moves.
Grateful for their success, the boys recently sat down for an interview with Tumblr where they expressed surprise for their rising career achievements and explained how it feels to have fans chase them everywhere they go.
“It’s very flattering obviously as we can see how much they care for us. We just hope they’re crying tears of joy!” Liam Payne said. “None of us could obviously ever have imagined this just two years ago. It is actually great to know that there are people out there that love what we do since we put so much hard work into it. The pressure to not disappoint them is obviously there!”
And just in case you were wondering what they do with all those gifts, Niall Horan fills us in.
“Fans do come up with some amazing gifts. The amount of detail they put in creating banners for the shows or drawings of us is incredible,” he said. “We keep most of them and when we are on tour we have them all collected and sent back to the UK.”
Just because One Direction are no longer stateside doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten their U.S. fans. A One Direction documentary will air Saturday night.
