Hit them baby, one more time. It seems like the guys of The Wanted haven’t got the best luck when it comes to female pop stars. The guys let loose to 92.3 NOW/New York last week, with unkind words about Christina Aguilera after they appeared with her on The Voice.

Now they’ve got some words to say about Britney Spears.

The Wanted were personally invited by Britney Spears and her management to open for the star on her Manchester date last November, where they had another pop star run-in. They’ve had nothing but nice things to say about Britney since and Brit returned the favor, even Tweeting out her love for them.

But now the guys opened up in an interview with Fresh 102.7/New York about opening for Britney that puts that love in question.

“We signed a confidentiality thing that we should never say anything about what happened, but let’s tell it anyway,” Tom Parker urged.

Siva Kaneswaran said, “I was in the hallway with me tour manager. Basically we were looking with a laptop, trying to get wifi…facing the middle of the hallway. [Britney's] bouncers came down with her and told us to face the wall.”

“As Miss Spears is walking through,” elaborated Tom. “We’re like come on!”

Siva continued, “We turned around and I faced a wall for about 10 seconds until she got really far away.”

That’s a harsh burn and quite different treatment than Miss Spears gave Joe Jonas when he opened for her — she brought the JoBro on stage for a lap dance.

Lest anyone think this is another one of The Wanted’s slams on lady pop stars, Jay McGuinness jumped in to clarify. “But honestly when we actually met her person to person, she was so down to earth. You can tell she’s a total southern girl and Nathan, when he was a kid, won a singing competition. She was one of the judges or something. And she gave him a kiss, it was one of his first kisses as a kid. So he got to meet her again and support her.”

Sounds like Britney’s security are the bad guys in this round of The Wanted vs. Famous Lady Pop Stars.

Before the interview was over, the guys also gave up the scoop on opening for Justin Bieber. When asked about touring with him, Jay immediately said, “He punched Siva in the b****.”

When this was met with laughter, Siva asked, “He did, what are you laughing for?”
