Blue haired darling Katy Perry will be testing out her acting chops on FOX’s ‘Raising Hope’ next month.

Perry will be playing “Rikki”, a prison attendant in the March 6th episode. Her character will also claim to be a friend from character Sabrina’s (played by Shannon Woodward) past.

Sounds like this could get interesting! Maybe someone will get arrested?

According to MTV News, Katy said in a statement: “Shannon Woodward is my best friend. A couple weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when she called me up and asked if I wanted to do something ‘fun’ for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show. I thought, ‘Sure, I have nothing else to do, and I like chillin’ with my best friend.’ Greg was nice, but I hope he’s not secretly sabotaging my potential future career by type-casting me in the role of just a looker, so that I would never be able to play anything more challenging.”

The besties will appear in the episode on March 6th in a new time slot of 8pm, taking Glee‘s spot while they’re taking a break from singing for their comedy winter break hiatus.
