Fresh Staff Pics: Love & Heartbreak Songs For Valentine’s Day
It’s that time of year again…
Wait! The holidays are over, so what time of the year is it exactly? It’s the time in which half the population will be buying roses and eating fancy candle lit dinners, while the other half snuggles under the blankets and eats a whole box of Russel Stover chocolates while watching Nicholas Sparks’ “The Notebook” in a puddle of tears. Yay?
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we asked our jocks what their favorite lovey dovey and heartache – heartbreak – cry until you can’t cry anymore songs were.
Here are their picks…
We’ll start off with Jim, from the Jim & Kim Morning show…
Extreme – More Than Words
Come on, it’s one of the greatest love songs of all time. My wife always says she knows my feelings for her run so deep, that I don’t have to say the words. In fact she always says, the less I say, the better.

The Pretenders – I’ll Stand By You
I like slow dancing to this song with my wife, because it takes no actual ability to dance.

Norah Jones – Come Away With Me
One of the greatest sultry voices of all time with very honest music. No studio tricks, no heavy orchestration, no auto-tune. My wife says it reminds her of me…you know, it needs something.

Beyonce – Crazy In Love
Ok, I’ll admit it, I will do the “bite my lower lip” dance when this comes on. I will often express my love for my wife through interpretive dance. Which is probably why we don’t go out much.

Bjork – Possibly Maybe
I love this and all Bjork songs. I loved him when he played tennis, you know, Björn Bjork.
