Legend has it in 1940 in Tuscon, Arizona, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Irving Berlin[/lastfm] told his secretary to “grab your pen and take down this song.  I just wrote the best song I’ve ever written – heck, I just wrote the best song that anybody’s ever written.”  That song was “White Christmas.”

Over the years, the Christmas classic has been sung by dozens of different artists, but none as successful as [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bing Crosby[/lastfm].  His version, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is the best-selling single of all time.
