Thanksgiving is for People Who Love to Eat and Cook… Unless You’re a Member of My Family!

When it comes to cooking, I would say I’m more of an observer… much like a behavioral scientist studying a psychology experiment. And there is good reason for that. Cooking is hardly my forte. As a matter of fact, it took me three months in my new apartment to realize the oven wasn’t hooked up… and that was only because I wanted to reheat a slice of leftover pizza.

Each Thanksgiving, my brother, sister and I relive our cooking debacle the one time we attempted to make a turkey…

And the most embarrassing part? The turkey was actually pre-cooked! It was a complete disaster! But, in our defense, one key fact was held back from us prior to putting the bird in the oven. So, we called my sister Debbie to help tell the tale…

But we are not the only ones with a Thanksgiving cooking disaster lurking in our past! Paul called to tell us about the time a girlfriend/boyfriend fight involving automobile fluids ruined their bird…

And Roxana and Rachel learned that yams are flammable and that a sewing kit is not the perfect accoutrement for a turkey…
