Scientists in Japan have invented a high-tech hairdresser!
According to Weird Asia News, Panasonic has unveiled a hair-washing robot designed to help the sick and elderly take better care of themselves.
The invention looks like a normal salon chair. Customers sit back while a series of robotic fingers work a routine which includes a shampoo, rinse and a scalp massage. The basic washing session takes about three-minutes – a little longer if you want your hair conditioned and blow-dried.
Panasonic hopes to deliver the hair washing robots to hospitals and nursing homes sometime next year. No word on when they’ll be available to regular consumers.
It got us thinking about robots! We asked New Yorkers, if you could have a robot do something that your significant other doesn’t do well…what would it be? As usual, people on the streets of the city were happy to express their opinions!
So, what would YOU do with your own personal robot? Have it clip your nails, do the laundry, wash the car? Let us know in the comments section below!
