In fact, he’s not a big fan at all.
As part of a recent mommyhood roundtable on iVillage.com, Michelle Obama dished the dirt on her family’s TV habits. She and the President are pretty strict with their two daughters, Sasha and Malia. The first daughter’s aren’t allowed any television or computer time, that isn’t school related, on weekdays.
Come weekends though, media is fair game, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians is a Sunday night staple.
Of the show the First Lady noted, “Barack really thinks some of the Kardashian – when they watch that stuff – he doesn’t like that as much,” she said, “but I sort of feel like if we’re talking about it, and I’m more concerned with how they take it in – what did you learn when you watched that. And if they’re learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I’m like, okay.”
Sounds like she was trying to talk her way out of insulting one of reality televisions most influential families.
Maybe Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and the rest of their “K” named family members aren’t the best role models for the first daughters, they certainly know how to capitalize on their budunkadunk. An important skill to hone.
