If you’ve been hoping to ship Kirsten Dunst off to another country and forget about her, she’s done the work for you.
Dunst, whose father is German and mother is Swedish, recently became a German citizen.
The move for citizenship may have been more practical than personal. The 29-year-old actress recently told German tabloid B.Z. (via PEOPLE Magazine), “I’m now a real international lady,” she said. “One who can film in Europe without a problem.”
I guess all those work visas were becoming a hassle. Still, Kirsten is excited by her new citizenship and told the German tabloid, “It would be the greatest joy for me to act in a German film.” Of course, it would have to be a pretty low brow film, Dunst admitted that while she speaks German she does so “at a child’s level.”
Congratulations Kirsten, have some schnitzel and try and avoid hanging out with directors like Lars Von Trier who openly idolize Hitler.
