Sure, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Queen[/lastfm] is busy looking for a respectable cover band to carry on the band’s music for a future generation, but that doesn’t solve their immediate problem of being sans front(wo)man.
The search could be over, as [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] is considering touring with the band as their new lead singer.
While speaking at the BMI Awards in London, May discussed the “singer problem” the band has had since Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991. Queen has been without a lead singer since Paul Rodgers left in 2009, and the always controversial Gaga appears to be on top of their hopefuls list.
“We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she’s very creative and is someone we’ve talked about singing, fronting the band with. She’s not just a singer, she writes her own material,” May told Express.co.uk. “Lady Gaga has said she would like to do something with us.”
If Gaga does join Queen, will it be as herself or her alter ego, the beer swigging, cigarette smoking Jo Calderone?
