I’m a diehard Yankees fan, but last night I was rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays. I was also rooting for Baltimore to finish off Boston. The night didn’t seem to get off to a good start.
That’s the great thing about baseball. It’s unpredictable…
The Yanks were up SEVEN RUNS for most of the game. A 7-0 lead over Tampa Bay. At the same time in Baltimore, the Red Sox looked like they wouldn’t have a problem edging the Orioles 3-2.
Suffice it to say the Yanks were not putting on their A game. By the time it was tied and moving on to extra innings, it looked like the Rays were playing the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
Can you imagine the Red Sox sweating in Baltimore, waiting out a rain delay holding up the most important game of their season while the team that could finish them off if they lost was on a comeback warpath?
Bye Boston! Go Yanks, Friday night IN DA BRONX as they host Detroit in the ALDS.
