Lady Gaga On Mission to Make Bullying Illegal
Bully seems to be the celebrity cause du jour, but [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] is taking this mission seriously.
When 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer of upstate New York committed suicide on Sunday, a result of years of bullying focused on his sexuality, it hit Gaga hard. Rodemeyer was a huge fan of Lady Gaga, and now Lady Gaga is a huge fan of Jamey… linking on Twitter to a series of anti-bullying YouTube videos the young man made to help others in his situation.
Her Twitter feed reads like an homage to Jamey; she even announced that she has arranged a meeting with President Obama to discuss making bullying illegal, as are other “hate crimes.”
The past days I've spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someones life.—

According to CBS News, Jamey’s mother Tracy Rodemeyer plans on burying her son tomorrow in a Lady Gaga “Born this Way” t-shirt.
