Katy Perry will release “The One That Got Away” as her sixth single off her platinum album, Teenage Dream. The song, produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin, is all about her first love, and her love for artists like Radiohead and Johnny Cash.
The track will hit radio next month. Perry’s first five singles off Teenage Dream have topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which ties a record set by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Michael Jackson[/lastfm] in the late 1980s.
If “The One That Got Away” goes to number one, she would oust Michael Jackson for the most number one songs peeled off one album. (No, we’re not making this up).
