Isn’t it the dream of pretty much everyone to just have someone hand you $100,000 to just sit back and do nothing? Well, that’s exactly what happened to [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Hilary Duff[/lastfm].
As previously reported, Duff was cut loose from the upcoming Bonnie and Clyde movie becuase she’s making a new little Duff. Seeing as how Bonnie wasn’t exactly preggers during her crime spree, it would be slightly unrealistic for the star of the film to be creating new life.
To prevent a lawsuit, the film’s producers just wrote Hilary a check for $100,000.
Apparently, seasoned performer that she is, Duff had a play-or-pay clause in her contract stating that if for any reason she was terminated from the film – she would still be entitled compensation.
It seems like Hilary is a bit perturbed about the whole thing, when gossip site TMZ approached her for a response, the Disney Princess commented, “I dont wanna give them any more press than they’ve already gotten off me … I think [my] baby is a little bit more exciting.”
OK, but I think the pay out is more exciting. The baby sounds cool too.
