September is a big month for designers and celebrities who are launching labels at affordable prices.
Here are a few of the highlights…
1. Missoni at Target
Italian designer Missoni for Target collection will be priced from $2.99 to $599.99, with most items less than $40. The collection is available from September 13-October 22 at all Target stores and online. Pending availability, select pieces from the collection, including a variety of online-only items, will be available for an extended run through early December at Target.com.
2. Karl Lagerfeld at Macy’s
“Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse” collection includes tailored frocks, tweed and leather, fingerless gloves and printed tank tops and tees. Chanel’s designer each piece is under $200. Available in stores on August 31.
3. Anna Sui’s For Hanky Panky
Anna Sui collaborated with lingerie label Hanky Panky to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the label’s thong. Named Anna-ver-Sui, includes tanks, boy shorts, and thongs. Prices range from $25 to $97, and a portion of the proceeds from the collection will benefit Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, a charitable initiative of the CFDA.
4. Jennifer Lopez at Kohl’s
She already has a clothing line, going through a divorce, but this busy mom finds time to launch a line of clothing, shoes and home decor at Kohl’s this fall. Get a peek at the line here.
5. Queen Latifah for HSN
Called Queen, will include leggings, jeans, handbags, and clip-on hair extensions. It will be in a wide range of sizes from 2-24, Queen Latifah told Women’s Wear Daily about the line, “we all want to wear beautiful, fly clothes no matter what size you are, and so for me it was important to match with a company that understood and respected that ideal.” Dresses start at $109.
