10 Worst Cover Songs Of All Time

Wow! When I looked at this list it reminded me of how awful some of these cover versions really are! Someone had the brilliant idea of asking these artists to remake some really great songs. Instead, they ended up murdering the song and ruining it forever!

You’ll see exactly what I mean, especially when you see what song the readers of Rolling Stone voted the #1 worst cover of all-time!

10.) William Shatner, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” by The Beatles

9.) Jessica Simpson, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin” by Nancy Sinatra

8.) Avril Lavigne, “Imagine” by John Lennon

7.) Britney Spears, “I Love Rock & Roll” by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

6.) Alien Ant Farm, “Smooth Criminal” by Michael Jackson (Sorry, but I disagree with this one, I think this version rocks!)

5.) Britney Spears, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones

4.) Sheryl Crow, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses

3.) Madonna, “American Pie” by Don McLean

2.) Limp Bizkit, “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who (Not great news for Fred Durst, considering today is his birthday, although I like this song, other than the dumb Speak n’ Spell thing in the middle of the song)

1.) Miley Cyrus, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana (Sorry Miley, but Kurt Cobain is still mad about this one!)
