After [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sara Bareilles[/lastfm]‘ set at the Indiana State Fair last weekend a huge storm blew over the stage she had just left and that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sugerland [/lastfm]was getting ready to take. In the horrific event, five people died and number more were injured. Sara, obviously shaken by the experience, has figured out a way to help those who were affected by the event.
On her Facebook Page today Sara put up this note:
“The tragedy in Indianapolis is still running through my mind every minute of every day. I am feeling overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and love, and am working on different ways to pay that forward to those most directly affected by the accident.
In collaboration with my buddies at WBMX in Boston, we have made available a block of tickets to the August 30 show at the Bank of America Pavilion for a $10 minimum donation. One hundred percent of the proceeds from these special tickets will go to Central Indiana Community Foundation/Indiana State Fair Remembrance Fund.
Here’s the link to tickets, and thank you so very much for the support.
A great gesture by Sara and WBMX in Boston to do this!
