Interscope Records announced the signing of American Idol third-place finisher Haley Reinhart to a new record deal.
Haley, currently on a tour for “American Idol Live,” says she’s “always dreamed of getting this kind of recognition.”
The tour started on July 6th in Salt Lake City, Uta. and will continue until they hit Rochester, N.Y. on September 10.
“I am very thankful to 19 and Interscope for giving me this opportunity to create my own music,” said the 20-year old Illinois native.
Haley was heavily supported by musicians and celebrities alike, including [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm], Tom Hanks, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adam Lambert[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Led Zeppelin[/lastfm] legends [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Robert Plant[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jimmy Page[/lastfm]. Page and Plant even gave her permission one of their songs on ‘Idol.’
She eventually finished third on American Idol’s 10th season, behind Lauren Alaina and champion Scotty McCreery.
